Columbus West Park Celebrates 10th Anniversary, National Nursing Home Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio— Columbus West Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 1700 Heinzerling Drive, celebrated their 10th anniversary and National Nursing Home Week with a gazebo dedication on May 14.
Nearly 50 residents, staff, and representatives from the Hilltop Kiwanis and the Grove City Chamber of Commerce participated in the event. Pastor Ralph Perdew, chaplain for the Jackson Township Fire Department and visitation pastor at Grove City Church of the Nazarene, provided the invocation.
Twenty Columbus West Park employees, including nine members of the management team, were honored for 10 years or more of service. Those honored include: Judy Camp, RN; Nancy Cartwright, STNA; Donna Collier, STNA; Jim Cumberledge, Maintenance Director; Paula Cupp, Home Health; Pam Curtis, STNA; Beth Dickson, Activities Director; Janice Hanna, Medical Records; Tom Mangini, Vice President; Lucy Marcum, STNA; Sharon McCarty, Dietary Director; Ed Meixner, Controller; Sarah Mitchell, Administrator; Geneva Nesbit, LPN; Joann Nichols, LPN; Teresa Patterson, LPN; Eileen Perdew, Admissions Coordinator; Beverly Pierce, STNA; Irene Pressley, STNA; Tom Stewart, President; and Sue Wright, RN.
“The gazebo dedication ties into the National Nursing Home Week theme of ‘Reflections of a Lifetime.’ The gazebo symbolizes a happy past, and encourages our residents, families, and caregivers to reflect on their own lives and look ahead to the future,” said Tom Stewart, president and owner of Columbus West Park since 1993.
The American Health Care Association established National Nursing Home Week in 1967.
