Columbus West Park Honors The Columbus Clippers On Founder’s Day
COLUMBUS, Ohio – On August 30th, 2006 Columbus West Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center held its annual Founder’s Day Cook-Out. The Columbus Clippers, who celebrated their 30th anniversary this season, were the guests of honor. Ken Schnacke, General Manager, gave an outlook on the future of the Clippers as well as some humorous baseball insights. He assured the crowd that Dime-A-Dog Night would continue in the new stadium. Clippers Mascots Lou Seal and Crash played the crowd of residents, staff and friends who attended the function. Tom Stewart, President of Columbus West Park, presented Mr. Schnacke a certificate of appreciation for the positive impact on the lives of the seniors of Columbus’s West Side.
There was additional celebration of President/Owner Tom Stewart’s sixtieth birthday. After the crowd sang a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday,” the Resident Council President Billie Tatman presented Mr. Stewart with a gift on behalf of the residents of Columbus West Park.
